Staff opened bids on June 12, 2018, for the Kyhl Lane Sidewalk project.  There were three bids and CMG Construction, LLC submitted the lowest responsible bid.  The project will complete the designated school route sidewalk on Kyhl Lane by installing concrete sidewalk and trail on the north side of Kyhl Lane from Hawthorne Lane to the existing Kiwanis trail on the west side of the Holling Drain.  A drainage culvert will be installed with the project to allow for the pedestrian crossing of the Holling Drain open ditch.

The project was advertised in The Yellowstone County News on June 1st and 8th, 2018, and on the City's website.

City Council may:

• Award W.O. 18-13 Kyhl Lane Sidewalk to CMG Construction, LLC, in the amount of $263,760, or;
• Not award the contract to CMG Construction, LLC, and reject all bids.  If the contract is not awarded, the students at Bitterroot Elementary and Medicine Crow Middle Schools will continue to walk on unimproved surfaces to get from Hawthorne Lane to the west side of the Holling Drain.
