PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
The Breakfast Exchange Club of Billings has donated $1,000 for the purchase of carbon monoxide alarms. As part of their ongoing public safety program, the Fire Prevention Bureau will provide and install these in homes throughout the City of Billings at no charge. City policy requires that any donation exceeding $500 must be accepted by the Council before the funds can be expended.

City Council may accept or reject the donation.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Acceptance of this donation will allow the Fire Prevention Bureau to purchase carbon monoxide alarms that will be provided and installed in homes at no charge.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends acceptance of the $1,000 donation from the Breakfast Exchange Club of Billings for the purchase of carbon monoxide detectors/alarms.
