The City Council will hold a special meeting at 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, to consider applications for City Administrator. Art Davis, Springsted Waters Executive Recruiting, will present 10-12 semi-finalist applications to the Mayor and Council. All candidates have preserved their privacy rights at this stage of the selection process, so the Mayor will recess into an executive session, which is a meeting that is closed to the public. No final decisions will be made, but the Council will select preliminary finalist candidates. After making those selections, the Mayor will recess the executive session and will adjourn the special meeting. Mr. Davis will contact finalist candidates to waive privacy rights and consent to additional background investigations. Finalist candidates will be approved at the September 24th business meeting.    

The City Council will approve a preliminary list of City Administrator finalists. There are no viable alternatives.

Staff recommends that the Mayor convene a Special City Council Meeting, recess into a closed executive session to select a preliminary list of finalists for the City Administrator position and to then adjourn the meeting.
