At the February 12, 2018 Council meeting the Annafeld Park Special Improvement District (SID) 1404 was approved to provide funding for developing the first phase of parkland in the Annafeld Subdivision, First Filing.  Bidding documents were prepared and on April 5, 2019 an Invitation to Bid was advertised.  On April 23, 2019 bids were opened.  There were two bidders, The Good Earth Works Co., Inc.  had a total bid of $612,072.16 and Firstmark Construction has a total bid of $664,933.00 including a base bid and Additive Alternates 1 and 2, see Bid Tab attached. At the May 13th Council meeting staff  requested a delay in action to allow more time to secure a purchaser for the bonds prior to acceptance of the bid.  A buyer has been confirmed to purchase the bonds.  Total bond amount is for $652,000.00.  Deducting bonding costs ($39,927.84), the remaining amount will fund the base bid of $512,783.86, Additive Alternate #1 ($41,728.30) and Additive Alternate #2 ($57,560.00) for a total of $612,072.16 as bid by The Good Earth Works Co., Inc.

City Council may:

• Approve the bid from The Good Earth Works Co., Inc. for a total cost of $612,072.16 including the base bid and Additive Alternates 1 and 2 for the construction of parkland in Annafeld Subdivision Phase 1, or;
• Reject all bids and provide staff with additional direction.
