PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
W.O. 19-37 H2-2 Pump Replacement is a project to remove and replace a pump and motor, discharge piping and valves, and variable frequency drive within the high service pump station at the Water Treatment Facility. The project was advertised June 28th, July 5th, 12th, and 19th. Bids were opened on July 23rd. Three bids were received and Ace Electric, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible bid.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may:
- Award W.O. 19-37: H2-2 Pump Replacement to Ace Electric, Inc., in the amount of $1,190,000;or
- Do not award a contract and reject all bids. If the contract is not awarded, the existing pump will remain in service and will result in having less reliability and redundancy in the pump station than is desired or recommended.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council award a contract for W.O. 19-37 Water Treatment Facility High Service Pump Station H2-2 Pump Replacement to Ace Electric, Inc. in the amount of $1,190,000.
