PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
Council is asked to reject all bids received for Work Order 20-08, Low Service Pump Station No. 1 Backup Generator due to bids being significantly over budget. Staff will reevaluate the project budget and scope and analyze options to address the shortfall. The project was going to relocate an existing 800 kW generator from the Water Reclamation Facility to the Water Treatment Plant. A new building was to be constructed to house the generator and provide additional storage space for plant equipment. Communication and electrical duct banks was also to be constructed from the new building to the chemical building and the low service pump station. The project was advertised on May 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd, 2020, in The Yellowstone County News and on the City's website. Staff opened bids on May 26, 2020, There were three bids received.

The Council may:
- Reject all bids received for W.O. 20-08: Low Service Pump Station No. 1 Backup Generator. There are no viable alternatives for this action.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council reject all bids for W.O. 20-08: Low Service Pump Station No. 1 Backup Generator.
