PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
Skyview High School is requesting approval for a fun run/walk which benefits the Skyview Chapter of Business Professionals of America. The event will help students pay for regional, state, and national competitions. The run is a 5K scheduled for Sunday, September 26th, 2010, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. The run will start at Skyview High School, go west on Wicks to Matador, then to Fantan St, and back to Wicks and finish at Skyview's track.
Recommended conditions of approval include Skyview High School to:
1. Have no alcohol consumption in the right of way
2. Clean area to be used and provide and empty waste cans
3. Notify all emergency facilities, bus lines and media about the event
4. Provide and install adequate traffic barricades and signs directing motorists around closure
5. All course guards (flaggers) shall wear safety apparel and use approved STOP/SLOW paddles
6. Provide a certificate of insurance naming City of Billings as additional insured

• Deny the street closure
