RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the $7,000 donation from the Billings Library Foundation.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The Billings Library Foundation is donating $7,000 to the Billings Public Library. These funds will be used to purchase 20 mobile hotspots and data plans so the library can increase internet access to the citizens of Yellowstone County and provide more extensive programming throughout the community via WiFi access. Administrative Order 117 requires that all donations with value exceeding $500 be accepted by the Council prior to expending the funds.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve the Billings Library Foundation donation, or;
- Disapprove the donation.

There is no budgetary impact.
