RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council award a contract for WO 20-11 Lake Hills Lift Station Rehabilitation to Western Municipal Construction, Inc. in the amount of $611,599.00.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
W.O. 20-11 Lake Hills Lift Station Rehabilitation, is intended to rehabilitate the controls, electrical equipment, and the wet well. This lift station serves a large portion of the Heights sewer service area, including the residential area in and around Lake Hills golf course, and is a critical part of the City sewer infrastructure. The existing dry well is a safety hazard for confined space entry; thus, pumps will be relocated to the wet well. The pumps can then be removed and maintained without entering the confined space. The project will also install a new valve vault. The project was advertised on April 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2021, in the Yellowstone County News and on the City's website. Bids were opened on April 27, 2021 and two bids were received. Western Municipal Construction, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible bid.
