RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council award a contract for W.O. 21-16 Rimrock Road & Virginia Lane Traffic Signal Improvements to Elcon Corporation in the amount of $221,892.80
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
W.O. 21-16 Rimrock Road & Virginia Lane Traffic Signal Improvements is intended to install a traffic signal and associated equipment at the referenced intersection. The improvements will also include updated pedestrian accessibility ramps, sidewalk, traffic signage, and pavement markings. The project was advertised on April 9, 16, and 23, 2021 in the Yellowstone County News and on the City's website. Bids were opened on April 27, 2021, and two bids were received. Elcon Corporation submitted the lowest, responsible bid.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Award W.O. 21-16 Rimrock Road & Virginia Lane Traffic Signal Improvements to Elcon Corporation in the amount of $221,892.80; or,
- Do not award a contract and reject all bids. If the project is not awarded, the traffic signal will not be constructed.
