RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that City Council approve and award a contract for Hail Repairs at South Park to T.W. Clark Construction, LLC for $174,000.00.

BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)

Several buildings at South Park, located at 3018 6th Ave S., sustained significant hail-related damage in August 2019. This project includes repair and replacement of various exterior buildings components on six (6) separate structures: Parks warehouse building, band shell structure, baseball concessions/storage building, restroom building, picnic shelter, and wading pool building. 

The project was advertised on 08/06/2021 and 08/13/2021 in Yellowstone County News and on the City's website.

Bids were opened on 08/17/2021, and two (2) bids were received.

The bids were as follows:

Finishing Touch Exteriors $186,090.90

City Council may:
  • Approve; or,
  • Not Approve

FISCAL EFFECTS

The low bid is $174,000.00.

The bid amount will be funded by insurance claim funds paid out for the August 2019 hail event.
