RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the resolution to contribute $1,000 to the Yellowstone Art Museum.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
At the conclusion of the May 23, 2022 City Council meeting, Councilmember Choriki proposed a council initiative to contribute $1,000 to Yellowstone Art Museum to help fund the COVID memorial art project. This initiative was approved by a majority of City Council.
Approval of the initiative causes a resolution to be brought to Council for a formal vote and action. Approval of this resolution will cause staff to issue a contribution of $1,000 to Yellowstone Art Museum.

ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve the resolution authorizing a contribution of $1,000 to the Yellowstone Art Museum or,
- Not Approve the resolution
FISCAL EFFECTS
The current Council Contingency account has an authorized budget of $25,000. If this resolution is approved, a payment of $1,000 from this line item will be made, and $24,000 will remain in FY22.
