RECOMMENDATION
Purchase of X Series cardiac monitors / defibrillators from Zoll Medical Corporation to support the new Medical Response Team (MRT) program under the National Purchasing Partners Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
As part of the voter approved public safety mill levy, EMS rapid response units were approved. As these units go online, the medical equipment needed for each needs to be purchased. The first such unit is scheduled to roll out the first part of December and the second sometime in early 2023.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may approve; or, not approve the purchase of X Series cardiac monitors / defibrillator needed to support the MRT program.
FISCAL EFFECTS
Funded through the public safety mill levy.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends approval of the purchase.
