RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommendation is to accept the donation from Billings West Volleyball on behalf of the Fire & Police Departments.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
Coach Kelly Jo Grossman contacted the Fire Department in early 2022 about making a donation to the Fire and Police Department. On December 8, 2022, Coach Grossman stopped by Fire Station #1 with two cashier's checks. One payable to the Fire Department in the amount of $600.00 and another payable to the Police Department also in the amount of $600.00. These funds were raised by the Billings West Volleyball team. Each City Department will determine how the funds will be used at a later date.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may Approve; or Not Approve accepting the two checks in the amount of $600.00 each from Billings West Volleyball.
FISCAL EFFECTS
There is no fiscal effect. If the Council chooses not to take the donation, the City will return the funds.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends accepting the donations for Fire & Police Departments from Billing West Volleyball and Coach Grossman.
