RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the professional services contract with WWC Engineering for SID 1421 for $163,910.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
SID 1421 Cypress Point, will construct improvements on Cypress Point, Opal Lane, and Greenbriar Road within Lake Hills Subdivision. These improvements generally consist of water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, curb and gutter, and street improvements.
Mayor and Council are asked to consider authorizing and executing a Contract for Professional Services with WWC Engineering to provide engineering design and construction contract administration for SID 1421. The contract is in the amount of $163,910. WWC Engineering was selected using the proposal process. Proposals were solicited from a list of prequalified consultants for this type of work. The selection was based on Project Team and Availability, Project Approach, and Firm Qualifications as related to project needs. Proposals were received from WWC Engineering, Sanderson Stewart, Stahly Engineering, and IMEG.

ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve the professional services contract with WWC Engineering, or;
- Not approve the professional services contract with WWC Engineering. If not approved, another option will need to be considered for design and construction administration for SID 1421.
FISCAL EFFECTS
The professional services contract with WWC Engineering is for $163,910 and will be paid out of SID funds.
