Staff recommends the City Council approves the purchase of a 2023 compact track loader with attachments from RDO Equipment Co. in the amount of $123, 471.68.

The purchase of a compact track loader with attachments is included in the approved FY23 Equipment Replacement Plan and FY23 Water and Wastewater budget.  This compact track skid steer is needed for performing maintenance and repairs on a timely basis and will replace a unit that is 23 years old.  The current unit will be retained for use at the water treatment plant. Staff is recommending procurement of the equipment using the cooperative purchase agreement (Sourcewell), as the pricing is similar to competitive bid pricing.

City Council may:

• Approve purchasing the 2023 compact track loader with attachments in the amount of $123,471.68:or,
• Not approve the purchase.  If the purchase is not approved, repair costs will continue to increase and rental costs and equipment downtime will be incurred.

The compact track loader was budgeted in FY23 using Water and Wastewater funds.  There is sufficient budget for this purchase.
