RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends approval of Bid Package #2 contract amendment with Dick Anderson Construction for $19,823,910.07. 

BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)

The City has a contract with Dick Anderson Construction to perform as Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the New City Hall renovation project. Dick Anderson advertised Bid Package #2 following the State required procurement process on behalf of the City. The bid package was advertised in Yellowstone County News and the City website on 03/24/2023, 03/31/2023, and 04/07/2023.

Bids were opened on 04/13/2023.

Bid Package #2 includes construction divisions 01-1 final cleaning, 03-1 cast-in-place concrete, 04-1 masonry, 06-1 carpentry and miscellaneous specifications sections, 07-2 thermal insulation, 08-1 doors frames & hardware, 08-2 aluminum-framed systems, 08-3 overhead/specialty doors, 09-1 metal stud framing and gypsum board assemblies, 09-3 flooring & tile, 09-4 suspended ceilings & acoustical treatments, 09-5 painting & wall coverings, 10-1 specialties, 10-3 signage, 11-2 residential appliances, 12-1 cabinets & countertops, 12-2 custom wood finishes, 12-3 window treatments, 14-1 elevators, 31-1 earthwork, 32-1 landscaping & irrigation. 

Bid Package #2 is the last component of the GMP (guaranteed maximum price) of the CMAR process.

FISCAL EFFECTS

The award of this contract will result it a total contract price of $22,220,134.00.
