RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Council award a contract for SID 1423 Annafeld Subdivision 4th Filing Streetlights to Ace Electric in the amount of $433,848.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
SID 1423 will install streetlights within Annafeld Subdivision 4th Filing. The streetlights will be installed along each street frontage. The streetlights will be maintained by the Homeowners Association until all of Annafeld Subdivision is completed. At that point, a Special Improvement Light Maintenance District (SILMD) will be created for maintenance.
The project was advertised on April 14, 21, and 28, 2023, in the Yellowstone County News and on the City's website. Bids were opened May 2, 2023. Two bids were received. Ace Electric submitted the lowest, responsible bid.

ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Award SID 1423 Annafeld Subdivision 4th Filing Streetlights to Ace Electric in the amount of $433,848; or,
- Not award a contract and reject all bids. If the contract is not awarded, streetlights will not be installed within the subdivision unless paid for by developer.
FISCAL EFFECTS

Funding for SID 1423 was budgeted in FY 23 using SID assessments. Adequate funding is available to award the project.
