RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommendation is to sell unit 4053 (Reserve Truck 77) to Big Timber Fire Department for $20,000.00.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
Sutphen, 1997, 104-ft aerial to Big Timber Fire Department in the amount of $20,000.00. This apparatus has been in front-line service since 1997 and was downgraded to reserve status in 2015 with the purchase of our current Truck One. It was decided then under that administration to keep it in reserve status longer for ISO purposes (having greater ladder capabilities). Now we have our newest ladder, which goes into service on June 2, 2023. After working with our Fleet division and a national search, it was determined that the value of similar equipment ranges between $15,000 and $20,000.
