Approve the Grant Agreement AZFO-140929 with The Nature Conservancy for Bella Vista Ranch Hydrogeological Site Investigation in the not to exceed amount of $200,000 for the period of October 31, 2014 through December 18, 2015.
Background:
The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the Walton Family Foundation have been working with Cochise County to design & develop a Regional Aquifer Recharge Network to ensure water supplies are optimally managed to sustain riparian health within the San Pedro River.
The TNC has agreed to award Cochise County a $200,000 grant to support the hydrogeological site investigation of the Bella Vista Ranch for a possible location for recharging the aquifer and river. The Grant Agreement attached to this agenda item set forth the terms and conditions of the grant, including financial reporting and the scope of work.

Staff will pursue partnership to facilitate a site investigation of the Bella Vista Ranch.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If not approved, the FCD will not pursue partnerships for the Bella Vista Ranch site investigation.
