Approve the award of contracts for Indigent Defense Attorney Contract Services pursuant to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 14-03-IDC-01 for a one year period beginning on August 30, 2016 with four, one year renewal options.
Background:
RFQ 14-03-IDC-01 was released on July 1, 2015 as an open ended solicitation to supplement the current list of qualified attorneys utilized be the Indigent Defense Coordinator. The intent of the RFQ is to evaluate submittals as they are received and make a determination if the submittal meets the minimum qualifications by an evaluation panel and approved to be added to the existing attorney list. The evaluation panel independently evaluated the the three submittals and unanimously agree to award contracts to the following attorneys.
Christopher W. Caine; class of cases, dependency and severance cases
Joan M. Sacramento; class of cases, dependency and severance cases, misdemeanor cases and delinquency and incorrigibility cases
Sara M. Martin; class of cases, dependency and severance cases
Christopher W. Caine; class of cases, dependency and severance cases

Distribute contracts for signatures, assign cases on a rotation basis, monitor contract performance.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The three attorneys listed above will not be added to the qualified list of attorneys.

After Board approval contracts will be signed and hand carried to the Clerk of the Board for final execution.
