Adopt Resolution 16-33, cancelling the Naco District #23 Governing Board Election for the one 4-year board seat up for election and resolve that the one 4-year term position hereby be declared to be vacant effective the first day of January, 2017, to be filled as provided in Section 15-302A(3).
Background:
As per statute ARS15-424D, elections may be cancelled if one person runs for one seat and the candidates will be appointed.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Department will notify the districts and prepare Certificates of Election.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Election will appear on the ballot and will be charged to the district.
