Approve Professional Services Agreement (PSA) 17-13-HFP-04 with JE Fuller Hydrology & Geomorphology to implement the third year of the five year ALERT System implementation plan in the not to exceed amount of $78,991.
Background:
Cochise County is in the third year of a 5-year plan to expand the ALERT system to collect and compile rainfall data for the purpose of early flood warning throughout the county. This proposed Scope of Work details year three (3) of the implementation plan and will include installation of four (4) additional remote sensor stations and maintenance of 13 other stations. The system consists of a network of remote sensors (rain gauges), and a data concentrator and transmitter at Mule Mountain. The sensors transmit real-time rainfall data via radio frequency to the Mule Mountain tower facility where it is rebroadcast to the existing ALERT system, comprised of gauges plus data sources (rain gauges and stream gauges) from the USGS, ADWR, and Pima County. The planned activities for previous years have been completed and funding for 2016/2017 is requested.
