Approve the reappointment of Mr. Grady Butler to the District 1 Board of Adjustment, Ms. Estelle "Fern" Lawson to the District 2 Board of Adjustment, and Ms. Helen Barnard to the District 3 Board of Adjustment, for terms effective to December 31, 2021.
Background:
The Boards of Adjustment consist of three members appointed by the County Supervisor for each District, each residing within the District. Members of the Boards of Adjustment serve staggered four-year terms. Each Board of Adjustment has a member whose term is expiring on December 31, 2017. Each of the Supervisors have recommended reappointing the appropriate member to each Board of Adjustments. These members are Grady Butler, BA1, Estelle "Fern" Lawson, BA2, and Helen Barnard, BA3.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Send appointment letter and administer the oath of office to Mr. Butler, Ms. Lawson, and Ms. Barnard as stated below in BOS Staff follow-up.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Each three member Board of Adjustment will have a vacancy.

Please send Mr. Butler, Ms. Lawson, and Ms. Barnard the standard letter from the Board office affirming his appointment, along with the oath of office. Community Development will provide the mailing address to the Clerk via email.
