Agenda Item Text:
Approve the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant from the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, in the amount of $6,000, for "Wi-Fi Hotspot Lending," effective December 3, 2018 through September 30, 2019.
Background:
This grant will make it possible for the Library District to provide Wi-Fi hotspots for checkout at two or more rural branch libraries. Three municipal libraries in Cochise County (Bisbee, Douglas, Huachuca City) have successfully implemented this service in 2018, and providing internet access for rural residents supports the strategic priorities identified by the Board of Supervisors (Health & Wellbeing, Infrastructure Management).

The Library District will move ahead with the Wi-Fi Hotspot Lending program.
