Approve Contract 21-17-HEA-01 for COVID-19 Testing Services with Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc., and Embry Health, effective January 5, 2021 through February 28, 2022.

Background:

This contract awards authority, to selected qualified bidders, to establish COVID-19 testing sites based on a previously-approved intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with the Arizona Department of Health Services to fund the testing sites. Cochise County seeks to rapidly expand the availability of testing through partnerships with qualified COVID-19 Testing Vendors. This may be a single vendor or a partnership of the primary vendor and subcontractor(s) who are able to deliver a complete testing package as outlined in the scope of work below. Testing Vendors may expand COVID-19 testing in Cochise County through stationery and mobile testing sites, including testing in long-term care facilities (LTCFs).

Issue Contracts to the selected vendors.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

We will not be able to expand testing capacity to meet the growing need with increased cases.
