Agenda Item Text:
Adopt Resolution 21-09 to approve Streamlined 5-Year 2020-2025 (AZ034v2) and Administrative Plan for Fiscal Year 2020, revising Resolution 20-02 approved on April 7, 2020.
Background:
Each year, the Housing Authority submits Plans to HUD as policies and guides for the Housing Choice Voucher Program. HUD requested additional changes made to the 2020 to 2025 Five-Year Plan to include additional details regarding the PHA Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and substantial deviation. No additional changes have been made to the Administrative Plan as approved beginning September 2020.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
If approved, the Housing Authority will submit a revision of the plan submitted in April 2020 by May 7, 2021.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If the Plans are not approved, the Housing Authority risks being delinquent on a HUD requirement.
