Approve a grant agreement from the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona to the Cochise County Library District, in the amount of $20,000, to improve library services and collections at the rural branch libraries, effective May 1, 2021 through May 1, 2022, with the understanding grant administration will be transferred to the County Finance Department in fiscal year 2022.

Background:

The Cochise County Library District has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, to improve library services and collections at the rural branch libraries.  The grant period runs from September May 1, 2021, through May 1, 2022, and the grant will be implemented in FY 2022.

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

The Library Director will submit the signed grant agreement to the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

The Library District will not receive this grant funding.
