Adopt Resolution 21-28 defining the Cochise County Justice of the Peace Precinct boundaries, effective January 2, 2022.
Background:
Pursuant to A.R.S. § 16-411, the Board of Supervisors of each county shall on or before December 1 of each year preceding the year of a general election, by an order, establish a convenient number of election precincts in the county and define the boundaries thereof. Pursuant tp A.R.S. § 16-412 for the purpose of conducting any election called pursuant to the laws of this state, precincts adopted under the provisions of A.R.S. § 16-411 shall become effective no later than March 1 of the year of the next general election.

File submission to the Department of Justice for review and approval.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Cochise County will not be in compliance with state redistricting requirements.
