Approve a letter to the Arizona Department of Gaming granting the Cochise County Fair Association permission to apply to host live horse racing on April 16, 17, 23 and 24, 2022.
Background:
Ms. Dominique Valenzuela, General Manager of the Cochise County Fair Association, has requested that the Board grant them permission, as required by the Arizona Department of Gaming per A.R.S. § 5-101(10), to host live horse racing on April 16, 17, 23 and 24, 2022.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Send signed letter to the Cochise County Fair Association.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The Fair Association will not be able to host live horse racing.
