Information
Agenda Item Text:
Adopt Zoning Ordinance 22-13 to rezone parcel 406-23-092A from SR-12 (Single Household Residential, one dwelling per 12,000 square feet) to RU-2 (Rural, one dwelling per 2 acres), pursuant to the application of Mr. Jessie Worley and Ms. June Salazar.
Background:
The applicant is requesting to amend the zoning of their parcel from SR-12 to RU-2. Although the area is in subdivision the area remains very rural with minimum single-family homes built. Many parcels have been combined making larger properties. This particular property has had multiple lots combined making a 2.28-acre site.
The applicant is requesting the rezoning due to the size of the lot, rural nature of the area and the desire to install a manufactured home. The SR Zoning is restrictive, in that it only allows site-built homes. The change to RU will allow the installation of a manufactured home.
A downzoning will not have any negative impacts on the surrounding properties.
