Endorse a recommendation to name a currently-unnamed summit in the Peloncillo Wilderness Area as "Doubtful Peak" and send a written recommendation of said approval to the Arizona State Board on Geographic and Historic Names.
Background:
The Arizona State Board on Geographic and Historic Names (ASBGHN) has the statutory responsibility (A.R.S. § 41-835.03) to receive and evaluate all proposals for changes in or additions to names of geographic features and places of historical significance in this state, and after this evaluation, designate the most appropriate and acceptable names and spelling of these names for use in maps and other official governmental documents.
ASBGHN has requested that the Board of Supervisors provide a recommendation to either approve or reject the proposed name of "Doubtful Peak" for a currently-unnamed summit in the Peloncillo Wilderness Area in District 3.
