Approve Amended Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) among the Cochise County Flood Control District, City of Sierra Vista, Hereford Natural Resource Conservation District, The Nature Conservancy, City of Bisbee, and Fort Huachuca, to add U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, Gila District, as a partner to the established Cochise Conservation and Recharge Network (CCRN).

Background:

The CCRN is a collaborative partnership established to implement tangible water management projects that will increase water availability to meet current and future water demands in the region.  It was originally formed in 2015 by Cochise County, City of Sierra Vista, Hereford Natural Resource ConservationDistrict and The Nature Conservancy.  The City of Bisbee joined in 2016 and Fort Huachuca in 2021. 

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

Update the MOU to include all signatures involved.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management, Gila District would not be part of the partnership.
