Approve Agreement for Purchase and Sale between Cochise County and Rushmark Soldier Creek, LLC, in the amount of $4,500,000, for the purchase of property located at 665 North Garden Ave, Sierra Vista, Arizona 85635, Tax Parcel 106-65-017A, to be utilized as the Southeast Arizona Combined Intelligence and Border Operations Center.
Background:
On November 15, 2022, the Board approved a Border Strike Task Force Agreement in the amount of $5 million to be utilized for the purchase, renovation, and equipping of a building that will be used as the Southeast Arizona Combined Intelligence and Border Operations Center. Numerous buildings were reviewed and evaluated by Cochise County and Sheriff's Office staff. It was determined that the 36,500 square foot building located at 665 North Garden Ave in Sierra Vista, Arizona would meet the needs for a combined intelligence and border operations center. The purchase price of this building is $4,500,000, which leaves Cochise County and the Sheriff's Office $500,000 for renovating and equipping the building.
