Approve Community Enhancement Fund expenditures for District 3: Willcox Public Pool Rebuild - Water Slide, in the amount of $25,000.
Background:
Supervisor Judd has submitted for approval: Contribution for water slide at Public Pool for Willcox and surrounding area. They are rebuilding. The Willcox Community Pool, built in 1950,needs to be replaced. Consultants have recommended a full rebuild because of the many systems and structures that need to be replaced. The repairs would be $400K and a New Pool would start at $500K. Many donations have been received from community and a contribution from the county would provide a much needed asset to Northeast Cochise County. Willcox is able and willing to continue operating the pool and believes it is essential to well-being of the community and county surrounding (approx population 12,000). This request is for contribution of $25,000 for water slide.
