Information
Agenda Item Text:
Approve a cost extension request to extend the period of performance for Emergency Management Performance Grant EMF-2021-EP-00016-S01/18 for purchase of radio upgrade equipment, through September 30, 2023.
Background:
The Emergency Management Performance Grant 2021, originally approved January 25, 2022, period of performance is July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. The requested extended period of performance is July 1, 2021 to September 30, 2023. This request was approved on August 18, 2023, by the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (AZDEMA).
The extended period of performance is requested as AZDEMA recently opened up unspent funds from the 2021 grant, and Cochise Emergency Management was approved for a RACES radio upgrade project. No increase to the Emergency Management budget. The project will bolster emergency radio communications in local area hospitals.
