Approve Proposal 2301-19687 with Pueblo Mechanical & Controls for the replacement of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units at the Benson Service Center under Mohave Cooperative Contract 19F-PMAC2-0904 in the amount of $315,320.52, effective September 12, 2023.
Background:
The current HVAC units at the Benson Service Center have repeatedly failed to work properly due to their old age. This has caused County staff to work in extremely uncomfortable working conditions. It is the Facilities Management Department's recommendation to replace the current HVAC units at the Benson Service Center to prevent further system failure.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Issue Purchase Order to Pueblo Mechanical & Controls and begin scheduling the work.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Current HVAC units will continue to fail due to age, leaving employees that work at the Benson Service Center without proper cooling or heat.
