Approve renewal of Special Land Use Permit 23-94344-05 between the Arizona State Land Department and Cochise County Flood Control District for Bella Vista Ranch as part of the County's recharge efforts at Coyote Wash, effective April 4, 2024, to April 3, 2029.
Background:
The Bella Vista Ranch (BVR)was conveyed to Cochise County from The Nature Conservancy, November 11, 2016, as part of the County’s effort to recharge water into the aquifer of the Sierra Vista sub-watershed. BVR consists of 2,900 acres deeded and 4,066 acres State Lease Grazing. The State Lease fees are paid by the rancher that subleases the Ranch. The Ranch is the location of the FCD Coyote Wash Project.

Upon approval and signature of original documents, the documents will be submitted to the Arizona State Land Department
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Cochise County will lose the State Lease property.

Return the 2 Original Signed Document to Flood Control District for submission to the State.
