Approve a letter to the State Broadband Director, Sandip Bhowmick, supporting Allo Fiber's application for funding through the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program for all areas of Cochise County not designated under the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) program.
Background:
The State Broadband Office will select an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to receive BEAD funding to install fiber in Cochise County. The County received proposals from eight ISPs, interviewed the teams from the top four proposals, and ranked each proposal based on criteria to determine the best ISP to serve the residents of Cochise County. Through an extension review, Allo Fiber has proven to be an exemplary partner in addressing these challenges and is well-suited to expand high-speed internet access in our region.

Development Services will mail the signed letter to the State Broadband Director
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If the support letter is not approved, the State Broadband Office will not be aware of who Cochise County wishes to support for the funding.
