Approve the appointment of Gary Ramaeker, as county-wide Roving Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore, where no other elected Justice of the Peace is available or otherwise able to conduct a necessary hearing pursuant to ARS §22-121, effective December 23, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
Background:
The Roving Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore will conduct and hear court proceedings in all types of Limited Jurisdiction conflict cases. When an elected Justice of the Peace is unable to conduct a necessary hearing, resulting from a conflict due to a recusal or change of judge, the Roving Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore will travel to the assigned Justice Court to conduct the hearing pursuant to ARS §22-121. The court is required to appoint a Justice of the Peace Pro Tempore with the approval of the Board of Supervisors.

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Where no other elected justice of the peace is available or otherwise able to conduct a necessary hearing, there would be no coverage generating delays in court proceedings.
