Approve a letter to the State Broadband Director, Sandip Bhowmick, supporting Resound Networks application for funding through the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program for all areas of Cochise County not designated under the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) program.
Background:
The State Broadband Office will select an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to receive BEAD funding to install fiber in Cochise County. Resound Networks was awarded Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) funding for areas of Cochise County. The BEAD funding, if awarded by the state, will be used to bring Broadband to areas not included in RDOF funding.

Development Services will mail the signed letter to the State Broadband Director
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
If the support letter is not approved, the State Broadband Office will receive fewer points during the state's review of applications for BEAD funding.
