Approve Proposal QJB2024121-CCJ with Metro Fire Equipment Inc. for the installation of a new fire alarm system in the Cochise County Jail, in the amount of $399,410, effective February 11, 2025. 

Background:

The fire alarm system at the Cochise County Jail needs to be replaced. Multiple vendors have attempted to repair the existing fire alarm system, but it is no longer viable. 

Department's Next Steps (if approved):

If approved, Anne Coppola, Procurement Contracts Administrator, will sign the proposal. Facilities Management will then issue a purchase order to Metro Fire Equipment Inc. and begin scheduling the work. 

Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:

If not approved, the Cochise County Jail will operate without a functioning fire alarm system.
