Discussion and possible direction regarding the Cochise County Comprehensive Plan Update.
Background:
A comprehensive plan is a long-range planning document that takes a holistic approach to analyzing growth and development. It is intended to guide sustainable and equitable development, promote economic vitality, preserve natural and cultural resources, and enhance the quality of life in Cochise County, both now and in the future. A comprehensive plan is effective for up to 10 years from the date the plan was initially adopted or until the plan is readopted or until a new plan is adopted. The current plan was adopted May of 2015. The current Comprehensive Plan can be viewed online: https://www.cochise.az.gov/DocumentCenter/View/136/Cochise-County-Comprehensive-Plan-PDF. The project website can be viewed online: https://cp2045.cochise.az.gov/. Staff will provide an overview of all document sections, which are currently in draft form. This item will be for general discussion and direction.
