Approve the transfer of general fund contingency funds to the Facilities Department to replace (24) Carrier Gas Pack Units at 1415 W Melody Lane, Bldg A in Bisbee, in the amount of $175,000.
Background:
The HVAC units that are currently being used at Melody Lane, Bldg A need to be replaced due to their old age. It is the Facilities Management Department's recommendation to replace the current HVAC units to prevent further system failure.
Department's Next Steps (if approved):
Move funds from contingency, issue a purchase order to Carrier, and begin scheduling the work.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
The current HVAC units will continue to fail, leaving occupants without proper cooling or heat.
