Recognition of Robert “Bob” Hollister for 32 years of volunteer service to Cochise County.
Background:
Mr. Robert “Bob” Hollister has served as the RACES Officer for Cochise County Emergency Management for 32 years and will be retiring in July 2025. The RACES team, Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service, provides emergency communications during special events, natural disasters, and public safety events. Mr. Hollister has led this team as the RACES Officer since 1993. Mr. Hollister has gone above and beyond these duties and provided expert radio technical support to fire departments, fire districts, police departments and County IT. Mr. Hollister further served as a long-standing member of the Local Emergency Planning Committee. Cochise County Emergency Management and the whole public safety community are grateful for Mr. Hollister’s years of volunteer support.
