Approve ADHS Contract No. CTR050594 Amendment 6 - Health Start Program, between the Arizona Department of Health Services and Cochise County Health & Social Services for period of July 6, 2025, through September 30, 2025, in the amount of $88,250.00.
Background:
Cochise County Health and Social Services (CCHSS) has received the Health Start grant for over 35 years. The program serves pregnant women and families with children up to the age of 2. These services are provided mainly through in-home visits.
This Amendment extends the contract for one additional quarter - July 6, 2025 through September 30, 2025 - when the new 5 year contract is awarded.

Program services will continue to be delivered to eligible county residents.
Impact of NOT Approving/Alternatives:
Not approving this item would result in the termination of the CCHSS Health Start contract which provides services to at-risk families, pregnant women, and children throughout Cochise County.

This is a grant-funded, Cost Reimbursement IGA. The grant supports salary, ERE’s, and expenses for 5.5 FTEs. It also supports educational materials and resources for the families enrolled in the program.
