Approve the termination of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the City of Sierra Vista and Cochise County that authorizes both entities to administer programs and to receive and disburse funds for the Upper San Pedro Partnership (USPP) and terminate membership in the USPP, effective August 5, 2025.
Background:
The Cochise County Board of Supervisors has opted to discontinue its participation in the IGA with City of Sierra Vista related to the Upper San Pedro Partnership. This means the county will not pay the City $10,000 for efforts related to membership on the Upper San Pedro Partnership (USPP) Executive Committee. Effective FY2025–2026, the County will no longer serve in an official capacity on the committee or other USPP committees. Appropriate notice will be given to the USPP, and staff will coordinate withdrawal from the committee’s roster.
