Approve Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Juvenile Probation Funding Agreement, as provided by the Arizona Supreme Court, Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), in the amount of $1,097,063, effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Background:

$92,411.78 was approved by the AOC to carry over from the approved FY25 budget. This amount will be used with the approved $1,097,063 to operate. 

The purpose of the allocation for Juvenile Probation is to support the juvenile courts and probation department to achieve or maintain the average juvenile probation case supervision requirement, support supervision activities, and to impact the number of repetitive offenders. 
This agreement provides for the following:

$887,063 is disbursed to Cochise County
$210,000 is retained at the AOC to cover Cochise expenses

Juvenile Intensive Probation Supervision Program (JIPS) $316,012,
Juvenile Standard Probation Program $113,497,
Juvenile Probation Services Fund (JPSF) $305,101 total: $105,101 disbursed to Cochise County and $200,000 is retained at the AOC for treatment expenses,
Diversion Intake $243,949 and $34,134 SLFRF,
Diversion Consequence $78,626 total: $68,626 disbursed to Cochise County and $10,000 is retained at the AOC for contract services expenses, 
Juvenile Monetary Sanctions $5,744, backfill funding to replenish revenues lost from the repeal of juvenile monetary sanctions.

 
State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) are provided by the Governor's Office to supplement probation salary increases and disbursed to counties by the AOC.

Receive AOC funding and administer program.

No AOC funding for juvenile probation.
