Approve Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Adult Probation Funding Agreement, as provided by the Arizona Supreme Court, Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), in the amount of $2,032,533, effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
Background:
$226,438.61 was approved by the AOC to carry over from the approved FY25 budget. This amount will be used with the approved $2,032,533 to operate.
The purpose of the allocation for Adult Probation is to support the adult courts and probation department, to achieve or maintain the average adult probation case supervision requirement, to ensure the department addresses criminogenic needs, and work toward recidivism reduction.
$2,032,533 is disbursed to Cochise County
This agreement provides for the following:
State Aid Enhancement (SAE) $742,073, Judicial Collection Enhancement Fund (JCEF) $8,697, and State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) $283,754,
Adult Intensive Probation Supervision (IPS) $682,793, and SLFRF $281,216,
Community Punishment Program (CPP) $4,000,
Criminal Justice Enhancement Funds (CJEF) - Substance Abuse $30,000.

The Governor's Office provides State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) to supplement probation salary increases.
