Approve the appointment of Frank Ambriz to the Planning & Zoning Commission representing District 2, effective September 16, 2025, through December 31, 2026.
Background:
The Planning & Zoning Commission is composed of nine members, with three representatives from each supervisory district. Members must reside within the district they represent and are nominated by the County Supervisor for that district. On September 2, 2025, the Board of Supervisors removed Commissioner Albert Young from the Commission due to neglect of duty resulting from excessive absences, creating a vacancy for a District 2 seat.Commissioners serve staggered four-year terms. Mr. Frank Ambriz has agreed to fill the District 2 vacancy and will serve the remainder of Commissioner Young’s term, which expires on December 31, 2026.

Send an appointment letter and administer the Oath of Office to Mr. Ambriz, as stated below in the BOS staff follow-up.

The Planning & Zoning Commission will have a vacanct seat within District 2.
